Kaan Konukoglu
Volunteer
My name is Kaan Konukoglu. I am 18 years old and currently living in Turkey, and I will soon begin my university studies in the UK at UCL, where I will be studying Youth, Society and Sustainable Futures. This programme reflects my passion for responsible action, social change, and environmental sustainability. These are also key values at the heart of TAFU, which is why I am proud to be volunteering as the Youth Representative for Turkey – Sustainability and Youth Engagement.
This is my first formal volunteering role, and I am excited to learn through action. I will be involved in sustainability awareness projects, youth-focused research, and sharing ideas through social media. I also look forward to contributing to local community initiatives and helping to represent youth voices from Turkey.
Outside of my studies, I enjoy sports including tennis, skiing, and basketball. I studied in Switzerland for two years, where I developed a strong interest in winter sports. I also enjoy painting and creative expression in my free time.
I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to TAFU’s work and look forward to making a meaningful impact through small but consistent actions that reflect my values and future goals.
