This year TAFU has joined the UoB Library Sustainably month and brought some innovative things along!
Upcycled Art Competition for all those creative and caring students at UoB -Join in, do a good deed, and win an Amazon Voucher!
One more of many ways of TAFU’s pushes to narrow that gap between intention and action.
Prizes
- First prize: £100 Amazon voucher
- Second prize: £50 Amazon voucher
- Third prize: £30 Amazon voucher

Upcycling
Upcycling, also known as creative reuse, is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products perceived to be of greater quality, such as artistic value or environmental value. (Diversitech Team, 2022)
Recycling takes old materials and breaks them down into new materials that can be used for other products. Upcycling takes old materials and transforms them into something new and better than what they were before. Both recycling and upcycling are important parts of going green and reducing your carbon footprint. (Wikipedia contributors, 2024)
