Julia Underwood

CMO, General Manager, and Inclusion Officer

Julia Underwood is Executive Co-Chair, Chief Marketing Officer and General Manager of TAFU, where she supports the strategic leadership, public profile and practical delivery of the charity’s work.

Her role brings together environmental responsibility, education, inclusion, community engagement, marketing, events and partnership development. She helps lead TAFU’s projects from early planning through to delivery, including environmental competitions, youth-led initiatives, awareness campaigns, workshops and hands-on community action.

Julia has a strong background in business management, marketing, HR, education, leadership and social impact. She is particularly focused on turning ideas into well-organised, meaningful projects that bring people together and create practical benefit. Her work at TAFU reflects a clear commitment to conservation, young people, widening access to opportunity and encouraging communities to take responsibility for the world around them.

Alongside her work with TAFU, Julia is the Chief Executive Officer of CSRchain, a Parish Councillor, an educator and tutor, and a volunteer with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Her wider work connects sustainability, digital inclusion, ethical technology, community representation and responsible decision-making. This gives her a broad but practical perspective on how charities, education, technology and local communities can work together for social and environmental good.

At TAFU, Julia is known for her practical leadership, strong communication, care for people and ability to bring structure to ambitious projects. She believes that real change begins with action, responsibility and service — values that sit at the centre of TAFU’s mission.
