<\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\nRasha is a Senior Lecturer in Cybersecurity, and the Deputy Director of Postgraduate Research at the School of Computing in Newcastle University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She holds a PhD in Computer Science from University of York and has worked as a Senior Research Fellow in the European Union funded Project (MONICA<\/em>). The project is concerned with improving the quality of life for citizens, visitors, and staff of large scale cultural events via the use of IoT technologies and wearable devices.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Regarding her efforts towards education, Rasha was the President of York Graduate Students\u2019 Association (GSA) for two consecutive years (2015-2017). Her job involved enhancing the experience of 4000 postgraduate students, and\u00a0launching a number of projects that benefited York students from both academic and welfare perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rasha has recently won a Royal Society grant to help secondary school students get involved in research of a STEM subject.
